Those of you who have spent the last year hibernating under a rock will be pleased to note that it is that time of year again, yes, the elections for the Debian Project leader are upon us. The nomination period has come to an end and the three nominees are Bdale Garbee, Raphaël Hertzog and Branden Robinson.
The Debian consitution and electoral system is a fundamental part of Debian, if you are interested please read the constitution.

It’s kind of prick-like to anonymously accuse someone of being a prick, and it’s completely
unfair to claim that Branden isn’t competent to
handle XFree86, considering that he’s been doing
it successfully for a long time.

Nevertheless, Branden’s lack of diplomacy and his
habit of heaping abuse on people who ask him
entirely legitimate questions suggests that he
doesn’t have the right personality for a leadership
role. He’d be put in the position of answering
questions from outsiders in the name of the Debian
project, and many of these questions will be
ignorant ones (from trade press reporters, for
example). It’s unclear whether he has the required patience, tact, and diplomatic skills.

Taking 3 months to package it when RPM distros and BSDs have had it in only a few weeks is successfully packaging it?

    Successful compared to who?

An 80 year old chinese woman?
