Counting down to Debian Mini-Conf 2…
Submitted by jonoxer on Friday, January 17, 2003 – 12:11
DebianIt’s only 2 days now to the start of the second Debian Mini-Conf, taking place in Perth (Australia) on Monday and Tuesday. The term ‘Mini’ doesn’t seem appropriate, though, with well over 100 people now registered to attend! Even if many don’t show up, it could still end up being the largest Debian event yet run.

Of course there are a lot of people who want to attend and can’t, so a photo gallery has been set up on the DebConf site for attendees to post images from the conf, and the presentations will be recorded on video. If everything goes well, a CD will be available after the event with an MPEG of each session.

So even if you can’t be there in person, keep an eye on http://www.debconf.org/lca2003/ for event coverage.

As of a few minutes ago official registrations for the Mini-Conf are closed, with an amazing 112 people sending in their name!

If you happen to be in Perth and want to come along but haven’t registered, don’t worry – you can just turn up on Monday anyway.

    See you there 🙂
