    Hey cool, good job so far, and good luck! 😉

    One thing you might try (if you haven’t already), is to set up a mail/web server yourself, using Debian and some spare (or new, depending on budget and size of your company) computer parts at home. Then bring it in (hopefully those operations managers will let you) and show the IT manager how easy it can be to adminster (I’ve heard webmin is great) and how stable, etc it is.

    If you’re going to replace the MTA, use qmail. It’s very slick and has the added selling point of DJB’s security “guarantee”.
