How to install Debian on HP 9000 model e45?
Contributed by alphakit on Friday, November 16 @ 20:11:43 GMT

    Ask Debianplanet
Right now, I'm running debian sid on Alpha 164LX, it runs well, although sometimes the X freezes and hangs the machine
However now I have a HP 9000 model e45, I want to install Debian on it, but where do I start?

Try the Debian HPPA ports pages at http://www.debian.org/ports/hppa. If you are successful in installing on this machine, write and article and mail it to me at rob at debianplanet dot org

When X crashes, you can try to do C-A-Backspace or connect thru telnet or OpenSSH and either solve the lock or kill or kill -9 X.

    Good luck!
