Is there any mirror yet? geniussystems seems to be unreachable from time to time (which is quite often).

I’ve actually had problems with these

After installing them i had dcop problems…easy to fix, but after that nothing seems to work. .xsession_erros seems to point to something with dcop, but nothing to verbose.

kdm won’t even start, and with startx I get to a gray screen and then it crashes.

    /tmp/.ICE-unix is mode 1777 with root.root

    any ideas?

I get kdeinit won’t start problems. The only way for me to fix is to re-install KDE2.2.2.

I am guessing that the guy who made these packages hasn’t done the dependancies properly. A package install should give option of removing all conflicting old packages. You know…. the Debian way….
