    Do you look like this?
Posted on Saturday, March 16 @ 22:32:48 GMT

    /dev/random
An comic little message popped into -curiosa recently, with links to charicatures of various Linux distribution users. The Debian one is excellent. However this isn't a very good likeness.

Hm, I have short light hair, wear glasses, and am cleanshaven.

So, no, it doesn't look like me. Except slightly when I go too long between haircuts.

Hmm... yeah, almost right except I don't wear glasses and I've yet to grow a beard (damn school regulations)

then again I don't hack Debian, just use it so perhaps I can be forgiven that 😉

The hair is a little too short, but otherwise it's pretty close.

actually, up until I got my current job, I looked like a stereotypical UNIX geek (at least, my vision of a stereotypical UNIX geek). Big glasses, unkempt hair just a little longer than it should be, and a full beard and moustache.

I've had to get considerably less lazy since then.

I have to say, I have longer (blonde) hair, but other than that it's pretty close. At least I remember converting my partitions to XFS the _hard_ (cp -a) way before I had heard about XFS install disks. That count in the hacking arena?

Oh if that debian geek isn't me in too many ways 🙂 ...

well, as you all now this is about clishes (or however this is written) and it's true I think...

The SuSE guy is young and freaky, the redhat guy a bit older and not-so-thin and really experienced and the Debian guy is a bit sleepy'n'freaky...

Of course redhat users can be thin and young and debian users can be old and not-so-thin but as a general clishe I really like these pics 😉

I think the Mandrake caricature is too sympathetic. It would have been more truthful had the baby been shitting on a pile of documentation, pissing in the face of open source developers and calling for mummy and daddy incessantly. Mandrake users deserve to be shot in the nads.

    Very nice.

Funny about all the comments matching to oneselves. I would be very worried if *everyone* looked just like that!

Though I and all my debian user friends are splitting images of it. ohhh but ???... 😉

We should collect Debian Developer Pics and "summarize" them with a morphing tool to get the "average" Debian Geek out.

I remeber a Institute once did that to evaluate the most beautiful face. They "summarized" ppl other thought they where beautiful and realy where able to have a face pretty much beeing nice to everybody.

One should add, it was a pretty perfect and boriing face... but hey.. you never know 🙂
