    Downgrade your gnome-pilot!
by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 06 @ 10:43:03 GMT

A bug affecting gnome-pilot caused me not using my Palm for a week, and finally have to back out to an early October backup. If you use gnome-pilot, and your Palm is still working fine, now is the time to act…

    1. Downgrade gnome-pilot, gnome-pilot-conduits and gnome-pim-conduits to the version in testing, and hold it until something newer than 0.1.62-2 is released.
    2. Delete all your backup made by the new version, and backup again. This is vital: you will hang the Palm by just restoring a backup made by the faulty version of gnome-pilot.
    3. Do the backup again with the new version.

I hope that I’m not too rude to bypass the maintainer and send this message here.

DanielS: The maintainer already posted to debian-devel about this, it’s an upstream problem. Delete all gnome-pilot created backups from that upstream version, and wait for a new one (or downgrade). The maintainer says:

i’m only up ’cause i finally fixed my machine tonight so i’m prepping 0.1.63
