    Progeny Debian Beta One available

    Progeny Linux systems just announced the availability of Progeny Debian Beta, it is available as apt source for now.

    Progeny Linux advertises Progeny Debian as an open source, commercial version of Debian. Progeny Linux also Hopes to release the full version by the end of the year.

    Progeny Debian features a new installer, as well as new tools for administration, configuration and package management. The operating system is based on woody, the latest version of Debian.

    Progeny Debian Beta Two, which will be available in mid-November, will support installation on systems not already running Debian, and will additionally support upgrades from Debian 2.1 (slink)
