Okay. I just downloaded and installed kde2, and this is my judgment: it sucks. Well, that is *totally* unfair. I am certain it does what it is supposed to: dumb down linux. KDE2 would be great for someone like my mother to run linux, because it brings a MacOS look/feel to the desktop. So basically, what I am saying is that it sucks for me to use, but they did a really good job emulating windows/macos ease. If linux becomes a dominate OS, kde will definetley be on the desktops of a class of users (the *cool* people, however, will use Helix GNOME, aka liquid sex).

    love,

    Neal

What about us poor Potato users? Will we be getting KDE2 packages? Our company won't be upgrading to Woody for a long, long time.
