    XFS Install Disks for Debian?

Does anyone know when we can expect to see some disks for installing Woody on XFS partitions? Last I remember seeing an update was when someone (Zoltan?) said that he was going to wait until 2.4.5 to release the disks. 2.4.5 has come and gone.

I'm not trying to rush things. I'm sure that making install disks in less then trivial. It's just that I'm very interested in trying XFS.

I'm interested in installing XFS partitions over Ext2 partitions that have already been installed. I want *all* of them converted. I'm just about to compile a 2.4.7 kernel and I'm going to try to add XFS support to it. Has anyone tried this before or had much success with it?

    Why kernel 2.2.19? (Score: 0)

I'm wondering why the kernel used was a highly patched 2.2.19 instead of a 2.4.x?

Is it just that 2.4.x is so different it is hard to fit onto a potato system? Or is it that the 2.4.x series kernels are still too flakey?

I would have thought that back-patching things like XFS into 2.2.19 would have been more work and risk than just going with a 2.4.x kernel.
