    Sorry, but this is just an archive containing the Debian/Linux floppies, patched for installing Debian GNU/Hurd.

    This file is only useful for you if you want to work on the installation system for the Hurd.

    Installing the Hurd from Linux floppies is just a hack in order to get "self-installing" cd-roms (normally you need a Linux or *BSD system on your box to cross-install the Hurd).

    Maybe your system will boot the floppy, but not the Hurd - or vice versa ;-).

    In the future, there will be a native installation method to avoid this drawback.

    They may be long awaited, but not for many, I'd imagine.

    Phil Charles is still working on them, I am not sure what the issues are, but they still need some work.
