KDE 3.0.3 released … and some .debs
    Submitted by Daniel S on Monday, August 19, 2002 – 14:59
KDEDirk Mueller, the KDE Release Coordinator, today announced the release of KDE 3.0.3, with the major feature a fix for the SSL in Konqueror issue. With this release also comes a new (and working, tested) set of .debs.

This set of .debs is not yet mirrored at kde3.geniussystems.net and the usual mirrors; instead, it is on all the main KDE mirrors. The new sources line is:
    deb http://your.mirror.here/pub/kde/stable/3.0.3/Debian ./

These .debs are compiled on unstable, but will work on woody if you drag a couple of packages back. At this stage, some mirrors still have a half-complete Debian directory; if Packages.gz is not found, just wait until the next pulse.

KDE 3.0.0 was released at the begining of April (4 months ago), and there are still no KDE3 .debs in the main tree (I know you can get them if you know where to look, but that is not the point). So for Joe Q User who wants to use KDE he is still stuck on 2.2.2.
