SSH and others borked in Woody

A number of recent breakages to be aware of. Information below.
Ssh has a couple problems: If you installed the 0.9.6a-1 packages of OpenSSL and libssl, ssh won’t work for you today. This causes some problems with some user’s X configurations. Executing “mv /usr/bin/ssh-agent /usr/bin/renamed-ssh-agent”. Will solve these problems until the packages are updated.
Note that you still may have trouble remotely logging into a SSH only box that has these problems.
It seems DRI breaks with the X debs and kernel 2.4.2+ in unstable/testing, because the X dri driver is out of date. Install newer X to fix (try 4.0.3 or DRI cvs debs).
Put libssl0.9.6 on hold. It breaks things. If it’s too late, to get X working, do startx -e .xsession
Don’t forget upto the minute information on breakages can be found in #debian or of course on the mailling lists

gcombust didn’t work for making audio CDs when I tried it. When I checked the web site it said, in so many words, “you might want to use some other program for audio CDs”.

I tried out Gnome Toaster (gtoast) and it works great for me. Give it a try if you want audio CDs to work.
