My ‘stable’ woody box runs GNOME 1.4, so thats what I use most.
I tried KDE 3.0.1 with sid on my laptop, and even though its nice, KDE has never said much to me (I don’t know why…)
Then I tried GNOME 2 on a Gentoo box, and I really liked it, the only bugger was the lacking of some apps, that still use GTK 1.2 (or is it 1.4?). But, nothing serious.
Window Maker I use when I want something stylish and different, and BlackBox I use ever know and then.
As from a year ago, I always ended up using IceWM, whatever the WM/Desktop I started with.
But now Gnome seems to be my choice.
I do try and test all the WM/Desktops I get my hands on, keeps me from getting bored 🙂
I really love CDE but XFCE for some reason doesn’t convince me.
Enlightenment I also use now and then, mainly when I want a 4DWM look (I love my 4DWM and MWM themes).
Lately I have used a lot of MWM, the only thing I find missing is the pager.
oh well, you *did* ask!
bye, have fun
