|I started using Debian not that long ago,
Potato was the stable release.
The version of XFree86 in Potato did’nt have
drivers for my video card, so I wanted to
upgrade XFree86 to the version in Sid.
Being a Debian newbie, I didn’t know exactly what I was
doing, I changed my sources.list to the unstable distribution
and the next thing I knew my whole system was Sid.
I’ve been using Sid happily ever since.
FWIW, I came to Debian after using Red Hat for several
years, then Mandrake for about a year, and a brief
flirt with Slackware before all that.
